DATA

On Thursday, the statistical office will release data on Poland's economic growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2025. Analysts polled by Reuters expect it to accelerate to 3.9% year-on-year from 3.8% in the third quarter.

CJEU JUDGMENT

On Thursday, the Court of Justice of the European Union will issue its first-ever judgment regarding the Polish WIBOR index.

BOARD OF PEACE

Poland and Italy will not join U.S. President Donald Trump's Board of Peace, Warsaw and Rome said on Wednesday, adding to the list of Washington's allies remaining on the sidelines.

INTEREST RATES

March may be an appropriate moment for an interest rate cut in Poland, and a forecast of the main interest rate at 3.5% this year is "sensible", central banker Marcin Zarzecki told Reuters, but said decisions will depend on incoming data and forecasts.

NORTHROP GRUMMAN

U.S. defence supplier Northrop Grumman NOC.N and Polish arms group Niewiadow-PGM GNSP.WA aim to make more than 180,000 artillery shells annually in Poland, Northrop Grumman's managing director for Poland said on Wednesday.

BNP PARIBAS BANK POLSKA

The chief executive of BNP Paribas Bank Polska BNP1.WA said on Wednesday that Polish lenders should try to avoid a "murderous" price war as competition for loans heats up, saying it could make lending unprofitable.
