RANKING EVENT NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the holders of the Perpetual Capital Securities, in
accordance with Condition 4.2 of the Conditions of Issue of the Perpetual
Capital Securities (the "Conditions"), that a Ranking Event occurred on 18
September 2024. Accordingly, with effect on and from such date, the Perpetual
Capital Securities rank junior to the £40,000,000 12(1)/(8) per cent.
Permanent Interest Bearing Shares (ISIN: GB0002290764) of the Society.

Capitalised terms used but not defined in this notice shall have the meaning
given in the Conditions.
