Central Bank of India hits 6-month high as qtrly profit jumps

** Central Bank of India's shares  CBI.NS  jump 7.4% to a
near six-month high 32.65 rupees
    ** CBI top gainer on Nifty PSU bank index  .NIFTYPSU  which
is up 1%
    ** Co reports 78.2% YoY jump in June-qtr net profit, while
interest earned rose 30.7% YoY
    ** CBI's asset quality improves, with gross NPA at 4.95% vs
8.44% qtr ago
    ** Stock has been above its 50-, 100- and 200-day
exponential moving averages since June 20
    ** Trading vol by 1:33 p.m. IST is 2.3x the 30-day avg
    ** Stock last up ~4%, cutting YTD losses to 1.7%, while the
Nifty PSU bank index is up 2.8%
