U.S. stocks edged higher on Friday as a new Chinese stimulus plan helped ease
some concerns around global growth, while investors digested underwhelming jobs
data that rounded off a week of mixed economic signals.  .N 

At 12:46 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.26% at 26,798.08.
The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.08% at 2,978.35 and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was
down 0.07% at 8,111.19.
