Appointment of Vice President and Change of Finance Responsible Person

The board of directors (the "Board") of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co.,
Ltd. (the "Company" or "CPIC") announced that the Board passed a resolution on
30 October 2024, agreeing to appoint Mr. SU Gang ("Mr. SU") as the vice
president and the finance responsible person of the Company, for a term until
the conclusion of the term of the current session of the Board. The
appointment qualification of Mr. SU as the vice president and finance
responsible person of the Company is subject to approval by the regulatory
authorities. Prior to the approval of the appointment qualification of Mr. SU
as the finance responsible person, Mr. SU was appointed as the provisional
finance responsible person of the Company.

Due to work arrangement, Mr. ZHANG Yuanhan ("Mr. ZHANG") ceased to serve as
the finance responsible person of the Company. Mr. ZHANG will continue to
serve as the chief actuary of the Company. Mr. ZHANG has confirmed that he has
no disagreement with the Board and there is no other matter in relation to his
work arrangement that needs to be brought to the attention of the shareholders
and creditors of the Company.

Biographical details of Mr. SU are as follows:

Mr. SU Gang, born in September 1973, currently serves as chief investment
officer of the Company, chairman of CPIC Capital and director of CPIC AMC and
Changjiang Pension. Previously, Mr. SU served as head of the Investor
Relations Department of the Company, head of project investments, deputy
general manager & general manager of the Alternative Investment Management
Centre of CPIC AMC, deputy general manager of CPIC Life, general manager and
chairman of Changjiang Pension. Before joining the Company, Mr. SU served as
general manager of the Fixed Income Department and deputy general manager of
the Investment Banking Headquarters of Shenyin Wanguo Securities Company.

Mr. SU holds a PhD degree.
