Feb 24 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is
seen opening higher on Friday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.2%.
* IAG: British Airways-owner IAG ICAG.L on Friday reported
substantially improved financial performance for 2022, with
operating profit at 1.22 billion euros ($1.29 billion), and said
profits would grow again this year.
* CINEWORLD: Cineworld Group CINE.L said on Friday it
expected to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the
first half of this year but added it did not see any possible
deal providing recovery for the British cinema chain operator's
shareholders.
* JUPITER: Jupiter Fund Management's JUP.L annual profit
plunged as macro-economic events hurt market valuations and
investor sentiment, the British asset manager said on Friday.
* AUTOS: Britain's auto industry said on Friday it was
looking to the upcoming budget to help boost competitiveness and
investment in the sector in light of "increasing protectionism"
that could hurt the UK economy.
* GOLD: Gold prices rose on Friday as the dollar weakened,
though investor worries that recent economic data could lead the
U.S. Federal Reserve to keep raising interest rates capped
gains.
* OIL: Oil prices extended gains for a second session on
Friday as the prospect of lower exports from Russia offset
rising inventories in the United States.
* The FTSE 100 ended lower on Thursday, as several banking
and healthcare heavyweights traded ex-dividend, although shares
of Rolls-Royce zoomed more than 20% after the aeroplane engine
maker reported upbeat results.
