May 25 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is
seen opening higher on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.1%.
* JOHNSON MATTHEY: British autocatalyst maker Johnson
Matthey JMAT.L reported a 21% fall in annual profit, hit by
higher costs and lower precious metal prices.
* TATE & LYLE: British food ingredients maker Tate & Lyle
Plc TATE.L reported a 22% rise in full-year profit as higher
prices helped mitigate cost inflation.
* CINEWORLD: Cineworld CINE.L expects to emerge from
Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July, the British cinema
chain operator said.
* WORKSPACE: London-focused office-space provider
Workspace Group Plc WKP.L reported an annual loss, hurt by a
more than 3% drop in the valuation of its properties.
* PETS AT HOME: Pets At Home Plc PETSP.L posted a
higher full-year profit and announced a share buyback programme
worth 50 million pounds ($63.11 million).
* OFGEM: Millions of British households will see cheaper
energy bills from July after regulator Ofgem slashed its cap on
prices following a slump in wholesale energy costs.
* LSEG: London Stock Exchange Group LSEG.L said its
group Chief Financial Officer Anna Manz has stepped down from
her role to take a similar position outside the financial
industry.
* REGULATOR: UK's antitrust regulator said it will not refer
EDF's EDF.PA proposed deal to buy General Electric Co's GE.N
France-based nuclear turbine unit to a phase 2 investigation.
* AJ BELL: AJ Bell AJBA.L reported a 61% rise in
half-yearly profit before tax.
* UK's CMA: Microsoft MSFT.O filed an appeal on Wednesday
of Britain's decision to block its $69 billion takeover of "Call
of Duty" maker Activision Blizzard ATVI.O , a company
spokesperson said.
