opening lower on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.26%.
* THAMES WATER: Thames Water said on Wednesday that the
restructuring plan proposed by the struggling utility company to
extend its liquidity runway was approved by creditors holding
over 90% of secured debt.
* HERALD INVESTMENT TRUST: Shareholders in Herald Investment
Trust HRI.L on Wednesday rejected a campaign by U.S. activist
investor Saba Capital to overhaul its board, in a blow to
founder Boaz Weinstein's wider push to shake-up UK's 269 billion
pound ($333 billion) trust sector.
* INFRASTRUCTURE: Britain will make it easier for major
infrastructure projects to go ahead by limiting the number of
legal challenges that opposition groups can bring, the
government said.
* EX-DIVS: Carr's Group CARRC.L , Games Workshop GAW.L ,
City of London Investment Trust CTY.L , Bankers Investment
Trust BNKR.L , Victrex VCTX.L , NB Private Equity Partner
NBPE.L , Foresight Solar FSFL.L , abrdn Asian Income Fund

without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out on Thursday.
* OIL: Oil prices dipped in Asian trade on Thursday.
* GOLD: Gold prices eased from a near three-month peak.
* METALS: Most base metals declined in rangebound trade.
* FTSE 100: London's FTSE 100 ended flat on Wednesday as a
decline in heavyweight copper miners' shares overshadowed
positive corporate updates and expectations of further monetary
policy easing.
