WARSAW, June 17 - The following are news stories, press
reports and events that may affect Poland's financial markets on

HACKING
According to the opposition, Wednesday's secret session of
parliament on cyber attacks on Poland did not contain any facts
that had to be kept secret, Rzeczpospolita daily reported. The
opposition demands that the information be declassified, the
paper said.
LAW AND JUSTICE (PIS)
During a recent meeting of the Law and Justice (PiS)
parliamentary party, which includes junior coalition partners
United Poland and Accord, PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski tried to
mobilise the party and issued warnings to the coalition
partners, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
BUDGET
The state budget is benefiting from faster than expected GDP
growth and inflation and is posting record surpluses,
Rzeczpospolita reported. However, according to analysts, this
does not mean that Poland can afford the fiscal expansion
planned by the government, the newspaper said.
NATIONAL RECOVERY PLAN
Spain and Portugal have been given the green light by the
European Commission for their national recovery plans, but
Poland is still negotiating and needs time to complete the
documents, Rzeczpospolita reported.
Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported that the procedure for
assessing the national recovery plan may take up to one month.
The European Commission says it is at the express request of the
Polish government, according to the newspaper, while the latter
says it did not submit such application, the newspaper said.
COMARCH
Polish IT company ComArch CMR.WA wants to develop its
sales platform on the Internet, Everything.pl, Parkiet daily
reported. It is supposed to be an alternative to big players in
the e-commerce market, the newspaper said.
TRAVEL
Interest in booking holidays is growing rapidly in travel
agencies, Rzeczpospolita reported. If you compare the first half
of June 2021 to the same two weeks in 2019, the booking rate is
32% higher, the newspaper reported.
