Denbury up on report Exxon considering buyout

** Shares of energy company Denbury Inc DEN.N climb 7.8%
to $99.81
** Oil major Exxon Mobil Corp XOM.N is considering
acquiring DEN, Bloomberg News reports, citing people familiar
with the matter
** XOM has expressed preliminary interest in DEN, but no
final decision has been made, the report says, adding the oil
major could opt against proceeding with a potential deal
** DEN, which has a market-cap of $4.6 bln, was exploring
options including a sale, BBG reported in August
** DEN up 30.4% so far this year
