DOMESTIC & GENERAL APPOINTS JAMES DAVIES AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
 
Domestic & General (D&G), the leading appliance care specialist, is pleased to announce that James Davies has been appointed as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and he will join the Board of Directors and Executive Committee in August 2020.
 
Following James joining D&G, Joe Fitzgerald, who has been Acting CFO since December 2019, will take new responsibility for Group Strategy in addition to his Commercial remit, and has been appointed Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer.
 
James joins D&G from Purplebricks Group plc, where he has held the role of Group CFO since April 2017, with a focus on driving global commercial growth in a consumer facing digital business. His digital experience in consumer growth businesses is well matched to D&G's digitalisation agenda. He also brings financial leadership experience from FTSE 250 business William Hill, as well as Deutsche Bank.
 
David Tyler, Chairman at D&G, said: "James will add a further range of highly relevant skills and experience to our strong leadership team at D&G. He understands the dynamics of working with a large customer base and the need to provide both excellent service and a quality digital offering. He also has experience as a listed company CFO.
