Dignity plc, the UK's only listed provider of funeral related services, announces that Mary McNamara has resigned from the Board due to a substantial increase in commitments with her other Board appointments.
 
In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.12, the Company will announce the effective date as soon as it is decided.
 
The Board would like to thank Mary for all the support she has given the Company through what has been a very challenging period.
 
The Board is well advanced with both the search for a new Chairman and for additional Non-Executive Directors with a view to the Board comprising a majority of independent Non-Executive Directors in due course, as announced at the time of the Company's interim results in July 2019.
