     The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc (the "Company") announces that it purchased
     the following number of its ordinary shares of 25p each on the London Stock
     Exchange through Investec Bank plc.

     Date of purchase:                           28 August 2025
     Number of ordinary shares purchased:        45,000
     Trading venue                               LSE
     Average price paid per share:               804.49p

     The Company intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

     The Company's issued share capital is 195,666,734 ordinary shares. Following
     this transaction, the Company is holding 53,598,709 of these shares in
