Voting Rights and Capital

In conformity with Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rule 5.6.1.R we would
like to notify the market of the following:

Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc capital consists of 405,753,695
ordinary shares. Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc holds 39,665,274
ordinary shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in
Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc is 366,088,421.

The above figure (366,088,421) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Edinburgh
Worldwide Investment Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and
