Corrects second reference to the river to 'Rhone' from 'Garonne' in paragraph 2
PARIS, Aug 5 (Reuters) - French utility EDF said it is lowering power production by 730 megawatts (MW) for several hours at the Bugey 2 reactor in eastern France on Wednesday, due to an anticipated rise in the temperature of the Rhone river that supplies cooling water.
The company is required to modify production when the average daily temperature of the Rhone downstream of the plant exceeds 26 degrees Celsius (78.8°F). The restrictions are expected to take place between 0800 and 1300 GMT.
