The S&P 500 hovered near record highs on Monday as bets on an economic revival
due to prolonged central bank support put the index on course for its best
August in decades. .N 
    At 11:05 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.52% at
28,504.4. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.03% at 3,509.17 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.67% at 11,773.915.
