** Shares in Turkey's Emlak Konut REIT EKGYO.IS fall more than 5% after the company reported first-quarter profit below market expectations

** The real estate investment trust's consolidated net profit fell to 1.3 billion lira from 4.3 billion lira a year ago, while unconsolidated profit shrunk to 1.7 billion lira

** Brokerage Deniz Yatirim says Emlak Konut's unconsolidated net profit missed consensus forecast of 2.05 billion lira

** The brokerage views the results negatively, given the net profit miss and year-on-year deterioration

** Stock among the worst performers on Turkey's benchmark BIST 100 index, which is down 0.43%
