RNS Number : 3743B EnQuest PLC 30 January 2024

EnQuest PLC, 30 January 2024

EnQuest PLC applies to terminate reporting issuer status in Canada

As part of EnQuest PLC's ("EnQuest" or the "Company") work to streamline its
reporting processes, the Company announces that it has applied for an order
from Canadian securities regulators that the Company cease to be a reporting
issuer in all Canadian jurisdictions in which it currently has such status.

EnQuest became a reporting issuer under the securities legislation of certain
Canadian jurisdictions upon the completion in November 2010 of its acquisition
of Stratic Energy Corporation ("Stratic") That acquisition was a share
exchange transaction, pursuant to which the Company acquired the entire issued
share capital of Stratic for consideration consisting of EnQuest Ordinary
shares. Stratic was a publicly-traded oil and gas company listed on the TSX
Venture Exchange in Canada and the Alternative Investment Market of the London
Stock Exchange ("LSE").

If the requested order is granted, the Company will no longer be a reporting
issuer in any jurisdiction of Canada, and will have no continuing obligations
to file financial statements and other disclosure materials in Canada pursuant
to Canadian securities laws through the SEDAR+ filing system
(www.sedarplus.com (http://www.sedarplus.com) ). EnQuest has historically
met most of its Canadian reporting obligations by filing in Canada, in
reliance on certain accommodations available to it under Canadian regulations,
the same disclosure documents it issues under the securities laws of the
United Kingdom and applicable LSE requirements.

EnQuest Ordinary shares remain listed on the LSE, and the Company continues to
be subject to reporting obligations under United Kingdom securities laws and
LSE rules. Canadian resident securityholders will continue to have access to
the financial statements and other disclosure documents publicly filed by
EnQuest pursuant such reporting obligations.
