FOREIGN MINISTER VISITS U.S.
Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski will begin his visit to Washington on Tuesday, where he will participate in a ministerial conference organized by the U.S. State Department on securing critical minerals supply chains, the Polish Press Agency (PAP) reported.
INTEREST RATES
A narrow majority of economists in a Reuters poll expects the Polish central bank to keep its main interest rate on hold at 4.00% on Wednesday, in a decision some say is the toughest to predict in months.
POLAND-GERMANY
Germany and Poland must take joint responsibility for an economic revival in Europe, the finance ministers of both countries said in Warsaw on Monday, as the continent's growth remains sluggish compared to rivals such as the U.S. and China.
ALLEGRO
Polish e-commerce platform Erli has sued larger rival Allegro ALEP.WA, accusing it of abusing its dominant position by effectively forcing sellers to raise their prices outside its platform, Erli said on Monday in a statement.
SANTANDER BANK POLSKA
Santander Bank Polska SPL1.WA is expected to report that fourth-quarter net profit rose by more than 70% year-on-year, driven mainly by lower provisions for legal risks linked to its foreign currency loans, a Reuters poll showed on Monday.
