Aug 13 (Reuters) - British bookmaker Evoke EVOK.L reported on Wednesday a profit for the first half on an adjusted, pretax basis, compared to a loss in the prior year, helped by tight cost controls and strong revenue growth in its international businesses.
Adjusted pretax profit for the six months ended June stood at 12.6 million pounds ($17.02 million), compared with a loss of 9.8 million pounds last year.
