Finch slides on pausing enrollment in bacterial infection therapy study

** Shares of Finch Therapeutics Group Inc  FNCH.O  fall
22.8% to $6.48 in extended trading
    ** Co says it has paused enrollment in a late-stage trial of
its experimental treatment for recurrent C. difficile infection
(CDI) following receipt of a clinical hold letter from the U.S.
FDA
    ** FDA sent the letter on Feb. 24, requesting additional
information about Finch's SARS-CoV-2 donor screening protocols
    ** C. diff is a type of bacteria that can cause colitis, a
serious inflammation of colon; it is one of the most common
causes of health care-associated infections in U.S. hospitals
    ** Finch expects to expeditiously provide the requested
information and intends to work closely with the FDA to resolve
the clinical hold as soon as possible.
