Big Lots rises on smaller-than-expected Q4 loss

** Shares of discount store chain Big Lots Inc  BIG.N  rise
as much as 16.4% to $15.98    
    ** Co reports smaller-than-expected Q4 loss, helped by a
tight lid on costs
    ** Posts Q4 loss per share of 28 cents, compared with
analysts' estimates of a loss of 85 cents, per Refinitiv data
    ** However, BIG's Q4 revenue misses estimates due to product
shortages 
    ** Stock last up 6.4% at $14.61
    ** BIG down ~61% in the past 12 months
