Forward Pharma tumbles on losing appeal against revoked patent

** Denmark-based pharma co's shares  FWP.O  fall as much as
20.3% to $6.30 - hitting the lowest level in nearly 10 months
    ** FWP says the European Patent Office's (EPO) appeals team
dismissed co's appeal of EPO's previous decision to revoke FWP's

    ** EP2801355 is FWP's patent for a formulation used in pills
to treat disorders such as psoriasis and arthritis
    ** EPO had granted the application in 2015 before revoking
it in January 2018 after opposition from various third parties;
FWP had filed to appeal the revocation in May 2018
    ** Up to Friday's close, stock had risen 12.4% YTD
