TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

Information disclosed in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.6

 

The Global Smaller Companies Trust plc (the 'Company') announces that today it
has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each on
the London Stock Exchange through Stifel Nicolaus Europe Limited, to be held
in treasury.

 

 Date of purchase:                     16 August 2024
 Number of ordinary shares purchased:  50,000
 Lowest price per share:               165.33p
 Highest price per share:              165.33p
 Weighted average price paid:          165.33p

 

Following the above transaction, the Company holds 141,559,968 of its ordinary
shares in treasury and has 478,973,802 ordinary shares in issue (excluding
treasury shares).

 

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is now 478,973,802
and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial
Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
