Losses in shares of technology and industrial companies dragged Wall Street
lower on the first trading day of the second half of this year, as risk of an
escalating tariff war between Washington and its trading partners continued to
weigh on sentiment. .N 
    
At 10:14 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.57 percent at
24,133.77. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.47 percent at 2,705.7 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.39 percent at 7,481.284.
