HENDERSON EUROPEAN TRUST PLC

(the "Company")

 Interim Pre-Liquidation Dividend

The Directors of the Company announce a pre-liquidation interim dividend of
3.4p per ordinary share, in respect of the financial period anticipated to end
on 25 September 2025. The dividend will be payable on 19 September 2025 to
shareholders on the register of members at the close of business on 5
September 2025. The Company's shares will go ex-dividend on 4 September 2025.

The dividend is being announced in connection with the Company's proposed
scheme of reconstruction and voluntary winding-up (as further detailed in the
Company's circular, released today) (the "Scheme"). Payment of the dividend is
conditional on the passing of the resolutions to be proposed at the Company's
first Scheme general meeting (convened on 9 September 2025) and the passing of
the resolution to be proposed at Fidelity European Trust PLC's general meeting
(convened on 15 September 2025).
