(Adds detail on Boleslawski in paragraphs 3-5)
Sept 3 (Reuters) - ING's INGA.AS Polish unit ING Bank
Slaski INGP.WA has picked company veteran Michal Boleslawski
to be its next CEO, it said on Tuesday.
Boleslawski is expected to take up the post at the bank's
next annual general meeting (AGM), it said, without giving an
exact date. The last AGM was on April 11, 2024.
Boleslawski has 24 years of experience at the group. In 2023
he was appointed to his current role as the global head of
business banking at ING Group. Between 2008 and 2020 he served
on ING Bank Slaski's management board.
Earlier this year the lender said it started to look for a
successor to long-time CEO Brunon Bartkiewicz, whose term
expires in 2025. Bartkiewicz has been at ING Bank Slaski's helm
since 2016.
Boleslawski's appointment is subject to regulatory approval
by Poland's financial regulator KNF.
