WARSAW, Dec 12 (Reuters) - The following are news

MACRON
French President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to visit
Warsaw on Thursday to meet Polish President Andrzej Duda and
Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
GOVERNMENT
According to a United Surveys poll for Dziennik Gazeta
Prawna, one year after its inauguration, a majority of Poles -
51.5% - have a negative view of Donald Tusk's government.
PRICES
According to a study by UCE Research and WSB Merito
University, retail prices rose by an average of 5.5% in
November, compared to 5.4% in October, with double-digit rises
for many popular products and butter, chocolate and vegetables
breaking records, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
ECONOMY
According to the average forecast of economists in a
European Financial Congress study, Polish economy's growth rate
will reach 3.5% in 2025, Parkiet daily reported.
BROADCASTERS
Private television stations, TVN and Polsat, will be added
to the list of entities subject to protection, Prime Minister
Donald Tusk announced ahead of presidential elections, amid
media speculation that TVN could end up in the hands of foreign
investors, including those linked to Hungarian Prime Minister
Viktor Orban, Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
BANKS
With record profits in 2024, bank shareholders can count on
dividends in the tens of billions of zlotys and analysts predict
that the largest dividends per share could be those of Santander
BP SPL1.WA or ING BSK INGP.WA , the newspaper reported.
ARMS
A change in the law is to be introduced in the coming months
that will allow the Ministry of National Defence (MON) to buy
weapons from Polish manufacturers for other governments,
Rzeczpospolita daily reported.
