Board Changes
On 28 July 2015, Bentley Park (UK) Limited ("Bentley") announced that as at 1.00 p.m. (London time) on 27 July 2015, Bentley either had acquired or had received valid acceptances in respect of, in aggregate, 203,947,329 Inspired ordinary shares (representing approximately 93.11 per cent. of the total ordinary share capital of Inspired in issue outside of treasury). Following this update from Bentley the Board of Inspired announces the following Board changes.
Inspired announces that David Blain (CFO) and Jamie Brooke (NED) have stepped down from the Board and resigned as directors with effect from 28 July 2015. In addition, Roger McDowell has agreed to step down and resign from the Board when the Company's shares are delisted from AIM but will remain as an independent non-executive Director until such time.
As a result of Bentley's controlling position, David Craven and Ron Robson have been appointed to the Board as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer respectively, with effect from 28 July 2015. Both Ron and David are shareholder representatives of Bentley.
Jeremy Coombes remains on the Board and will be the Chief Operating Officer of Inspired.
David Charles McNae Craven, aged 49 is executive chairman and CEO of DCD Media plc and is also CEO and Director of Timeweave Ltd - which he joined in April 2011. David has held senior roles with News Corporation, UPC Media and Trinity Newspapers. He was also joint MD of the Tote for six years and was closely involved in its privatisation, and has held senior executive roles at UK Betting Plc and Wembley Plc. David was also a co-founder of broadband and interactive TV media group, UPC Chello, and is a co-founder of the Gaming Media Group.
Ronald "Ron" Alexander Robson, aged 52 is deputy chairman of Mitchells and Butler plc and a Managing Director of Tavistock Group. Ron is a Non-Executive Director of Tottenham Hotspur Limited. He was previously Chief Financial Officer of Tamar Capital Partners and Group Finance Director of Kenmore, both property investment and management groups. Prior to that he held a number of senior finance roles including Group Finance Director of a listed shipping and logistics group, and trained as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen.
Furthermore, Neil McMyn will be joining the Company as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary but will not be appointed to the Board.
