Iveric Bio rises as FDA agrees to eye disorder study design

** Shares of drug developer  ISEE.O  rise 8.7% to $8.63 
premarket
    ** U.S. FDA agrees, under a special protocol assessment,
with the overall design of an ongoing second late-stage study of
Zimura, co's experimental drug for an eye disorder called
geographic atrophy - ISEE
    **  Geographic atrophy is an advanced form of dry
age-related macular degeneration, in which cells in the retina
waste away
    ** As per FDA's recommendation, co has modified the main
goal of the study
    ** ISEE says modification does not require collecting any
new data but reflects a change in how data is analyzed
    ** Study was initiated last June and co expects to complete
patient enrollment in late July this year; results expected in
H2 of 2022
    ** Last year, ISEE announced positive 18-month data from the

    ** Stock up about 15% this year, as of last close
