Australia's travel stocks eye weekly losses as virus woes persist

** Shares of Australian travel agency companies Flight
Centre Travel Group  FLT.AX  and Webjet Ltd  WEB.AX  notch
weekly losses of 5.7% and 4.5%, respectively 
    ** Sydney, Australia's most populous city, continues to
grapple with an outbreak of a highly contagious Delta variant
that emerged last week 
    ** New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Thursday
said the latest outbreak "is perhaps the scariest period" the

    ** Downtown Sydney and the city's eastern suburbs, which
include Bondi Beach, will go into a one-week lockdown from
midnight Friday
    ** As of 0304 GMT on Friday, Sydney Airport Holdings

travel marketplace Jayride Group Ltd  JAY.AX  lost 4.2% for the
