Brazil's JBS eyes opportunities in the chicken sector to grow in Southeast Asia, says CEO SAO PAULO, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Brazil's JBS JBS.N, the world's largest meatpacker, is eyeing opportunities in the chicken sector to grow in Southeast Asia, the firm's Chief Executive Gilberto Tomazoni said on Tuesday, adding the assessment includes potential acquisitions.
But the firm hasn't found the right conditions yet, he said in a call with analysts.
JBS agreed last week to a joint venture with PT Danantara (DIM), an arm of Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, to pursue investments in protein production across Indonesia, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
