China suspends beef imports from JBS' Vilhena unit in Brazil, reports Globo Rural SAO PAULO, May 29 (Reuters) - China has suspended beef imports from a plant of meatpacker JBS JBS.N in the northern Brazilian city of Vilhena, Brazilian news outlet Globo Rural reported on Friday.
The suspension came after the detection of progesterone in shipments sent by the plant to China, the report said, citing a source.
