NEW LOAN FACILITY

JPMorgan Japanese Investment Trust PLC ("JFJ") has secured a new revolving
credit facility of 10bn Yen with the capacity to increase this by a further
2bn Yen. This provides JFJ with the capacity to reach full gearing and with
some room to increase gearing in line with NAV growth should suitable
