JPMORGAN MID CAP INVESTMENT TRUST PLC
APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
As part of its succession planning and in anticipation of the retirement of the Chairman, Andrew Barker, later in the year, the Board of JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of John Evans as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1st June 2016.
Mr Evans commenced his career at Ivory & Sime in 1979. In 1990, he was one of the founding partners of Aberforth Partners, a specialist investment management firm that invests in UK smaller quoted companies largely on behalf of institutional investors. Mr Evans retired from Aberforth in 2011 and is currently a non-executive director of Securities Trust of Scotland plc, Investors Capital Trust plc and the Chairman of Drum Income Plus REIT. 
No further information is to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules for Mr Evans.
