Table: Japan nuclear operations: Kyushu shuts Sendai reactor, restarts Genkai

TOKYO, June 19 (Reuters) - Kyushu Electric Power
9508.T has shut the No.1 reactor at its Sendai nuclear power
station in southwestern Japan for maintenance, while restarting
the No.4 reactor at its Genkai power station, a company
spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The 890-megawatt (MW) No.1 reactor at Sendai was shut down
on June 14, with plans to restart in late August. The 1,180-MW
No.4 reactor at Genkai was rebooted on June 1 after going
offline on March 27 for scheduled maintenance, the spokesperson
said.
Meanwhile, Kansai Electric Power 9503.T has shut the No.1
reactor at its Takahama nuclear power station in western Japan
for scheduled maintenance on June 2, a company spokesperson
said.
The 826-MW reactor is expected to restart in late August,
the spokesperson added.
Following the changes, Japan has 10 operating reactors with
a total capacity of 9,892 MW.
Many companies are still going through a relicensing process
to comply with stricter safety standards imposed after the 2011
Fukushima disaster. The companies had 54 operational reactors
before it.
