Nexans feverish on Germany's federal cartel office searches

** Shares in Nexans  NEXS.PA  fell as much as 4% in
afternoon trading after the company announced investigations
from the German Federal Cartel Office at two of its sites

    ** "The searches are part of an investigation on cable
manufacturers concerning alleged coordination of
industry-standard metal surcharges in Germany," the group said 
    ** An analyst pointed out Prysmian  PRY.MI  and Leoni
 LEOGn.DE  had informed on the same investigations carried at
their sites earlier this week
    ** NKT  NKT.CO  is down 1.25%
    ** At 1548 GMT, shares in the French group are down 1.7%
