Literacy Capital plc ("Literacy" or the "Company")

 

Change of accounting reference date

 

The Company announces that, as disclosed in the Company's annual report and
accounts for the period ending 31 December 2021, the Company has changed its
accounting reference date to 31 March. Accordingly, its current accounting
period will now end on 31 March 2022. The change in accounting reference date
has been made in connection with the Company's intention to apply to HMRC for
investment trust status since, once the necessary conditions are met, the
status will only take effect from the beginning of the next financial period.

 

As a result of the changes, the Company's financial calendar for the coming
year will be as set out below. If possible, the Directors intend to hold the
annual general meetings to: (i) receive the annual report and accounts for the
year ending 31 December 2021; and (ii) receive the annual report and accounts
for the shortened period ending on 31 March 2022 on the same day in order to
conduct the Company's business as efficiently as possible.

 

 Financial Calendar 2022
 31 March                   Shortened financial period (1 January 2022 to 31 March 2022) ends
 On or around 30 June       Annual report and financial statements for shortened financial period
                            published

                            Annual general meetings held re:

                            ·    2021 year-end

                            ·    2022 shortened year-end
 30 September               Company's half-year end
 No later than 30 November  Interim results published (for the period from 1 April - 30 September 2022)
 31 December                Company's usual year end resumes
