U.S. stocks ticked higher on Tuesday, building on strong gains from the previous
session amid easing fears of a trade war between the United States and China.

    At 10:27 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.05 percent at
24,214.29. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.10 percent at 2,655.92 and the Nasdaq
