** RBC says existing hydrogen users such as refineries and fertilizer producers are likely
candidates for a switch to green hydrogen, but demand beyond this remains uncertain and subject
to policy
** The broker says there is a wide range of views on how widespread the role of green
hydrogen will be in the coming years, after it hosted an investor tour through Spain, meeting
various players in the value chain
** "Enthusiasm for green hydrogen varies, depending on the stakeholder," RBC says
** The broker sees very strong demand from refining and chemicals, with varying likelihoods
on widespread hydrogen adoption where alternatives exist, given complexities and safety factors
involved
** "Looking ahead as we see most demand being driven by industrial sectors, we see localized
hubs benefiting from existing industrial gas infrastructure, and proximity with cheap renewable
power become the primary hubs of the green hydrogen economy," RBC says
** The broker's preferred plays for green hydrogen growth are Nel NEL.OL , McPhy Energy
MCPHY.PA and Iberdrola IBE.MC
