Board Succession Update

 

As indicated in the Annual Report for the year ended 31 December 2022, Mr
David Hardie will be retiring from the Board on 31 December 2023 and Ms
Virginia Holmes will become Chair with effect from 1 January 2024.  Ahead of
these changes, the Board of Murray International Trust PLC is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr Gregory Eckersley with effect from 1 May 2023
and Ms Wendy Colquhoun with effect from 1 September 2023 as independent
non-executive Directors.

 

David Hardie, Chairman, commented on the appointment:

 

"I am delighted to announce the appointments of Mr Gregory Eckersley and Ms
Wendy Colquhoun to the Board.

 

Greg is an experienced equity investor with a professional executive career in
a mix of leadership and asset management roles.  Having begun his investment
career at Cigna International Investment Limited, he gained international
experience at Draycott Partners, Alliance Capital, and Alliance Bernstein,
managing, and overseeing teams investing in emerging market and global
portfolios before accepting the role of global head of internal equities at
the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). After six years with ADIA, he
returned to the UK in 2019 to run his own consultancy, Ecko Limited, offering
strategic advice to small and early stage businesses.  Greg will join the
Board on 1 May 2023.

 

Wendy will join the Board on 1 September 2023. She is a qualified solicitor
and was, until May 2020, a partner at international law firm CMS Cameron
McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP. She has advised investment trust boards for over
25 years on advisory and transactional matters and has a thorough
understanding of investment trusts and the regulatory and other challenges
they face. She is a non-executive director of Capital Gearing Trust p.l.c and
Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc and chair of Henderson Opportunities Trust plc.

 

Disclosures under paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the Financial Conduct
Authority's Listing Rules:

 

Ms Colquhoun is a non executive Director of the following publicly quoted
companies:

Capital Gearing Trust p.l.c, Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc and Henderson
Opportunities Trust plc.

 

Mr Eckersley resigned as a Director of Lekoil Limited (listed on AIM) on 4
January 2020.

 

There are no other disclosures required to be made for Mr Eckersley and Ms
Colquhoun, in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) - (6) of the Financial Conduct
Authority's Listing Rules.

 

Neither Mr Eckersley nor Ms Colquhoun holds any Ordinary shares in the
Company.
