    ** Stock posts its biggest intraday gain since Aug. 14
    ** Biotechnology co says preclinical testing for its brain
cancer drug candidates shows significantly reduced tumour growth
    ** About 2.8 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of around 314,000
    ** Stock up 83.1% YTD, including session's move
