The Dow and the S&P 500 slipped from record highs on Monday as glum data from
China sparked fears of slowing global growth and hurt shares of sectors that are
closely linked to the health of the U.S. economy.  .N 
    At 10:06 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.55% at
35,319.87. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.57% at 4,442.51 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.61% at 14,732.721.
