** European chipmakers rise following Nvidia's NVDA.O
upbeat second-quarter outlook, which surpassed expectations
** Nvidia on Wednesday forecast its second-quarter revenue
50% above Wall Street's estimates, sending the shares of the
world's most valuable listed semiconductor company rising by as
much as 28%
** Dutch-listed ASMI, ASMI.AS ASML, ASML.AS and BE
Semiconductor Industries BESI.AS rises by 6%, 4.4%, and 7%
respectively, while French-listed STMicroelectronics rises by
1.7%
** Norway's Nordic Semiconductor NOD.OL rises by 2.6%
** Germany's Siltronic WAFGn.DE rises by 4.73%
** PVA TePla TPEG.DE rises 2.9%, while Austria-based AT&S'
ATSV.VI and AMS Osram AMS.VI are up 3.56% and 2%
respectively
** The pan-European Stoxx technology index .SX8P is up
by 1.56%
