Adds new items, updates futures
Oct 27 - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Monday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.14%.
* GREENCORE: Britain's competition regulator said on Monday the proposed 1.2 billion pound ($1.61 billion) merger of convenience food manufacturer Greencore GNC.L and peer Bakkavor BAKK.L might harm competition in the supply of own-label chilled sauces.
* PETROFAC: Oilfield services provider Petrofac PFC.L said on Monday it had filed an application with the High Court of England and Wales to appoint administrators.
* UK MANUFACTURERS: British manufacturers are investing the least in new equipment relative to their sales since 2017, per a report from trade body Make UK, which urged the government to streamline tax incentives in next month's annual budget.
* FCA: Britain's Financial Conduct Authority, or FCA, is in early talks to change its rules to shorten the timeline for companies to go public in London by a week, Bloomberg News reported on Friday.
* HSBC: HSBC Holdings HSBA.L said on Monday it will book a $1.1 billion provision in its third-quarter results after losing part of an appeal in a long-running lawsuit tied to Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices rose in early trade after U.S. and Chinese economic officials sketched out a trade-deal framework, gold prices fell and copper climbed to a 16-month high on Monday.
