As part of the consideration for the sale of Standard Life Assurance Limited to Phoenix Group Holdings on 31 August 2018, Standard Life Aberdeen plc received allotted shares in Phoenix Group Holdings equating to 19.98%.  This notification details Standard Life Aberdeen plc's aggregate Direct and Indirect positions in Phoenix Group Holdings. 
 
In reference to section 9, the shares detailed are Standard Life Aberdeen plc's Indirect position i.e. those shares managed by the named discretionary investment management entity within multiple portfolios on behalf of underlying clients, based on investment management agreements whereby the client has delegated the exercise of the voting power to the referenced investment manager.
