    ** PNBG says March-qtr profit up nearly eightfold y-o-y,
interest income rises 34.6% 
    ** More than 1.7 mln shares change hands, their busiest
session since April 1  
    ** Stock trading above its 50-, 100-, 200-day moving avgs
    ** PNB Gilts stock up 16.3% YTD, after 51.8% rise in 2023
