Net profit seen at 830 mln zlotys
GDANSK, Feb 4 (Reuters) - The Polish arm of Spanish bank
Santander SAN.MC is expected to post a 15% year-on-year fall
in fourth-quarter net profit, due mainly to higher costs related
to Swiss franc loans, a Reuters poll showed on Tuesday.
Santander Bank Polska SPL1.WA is seen posting a net profit
of 830 million zlotys ($203 million) in the fourth quarter,
which would raise its full-year result to 5.13 billion zlotys
versus last year's 4.80 billion, according to the average
forecast in a survey of five banks and brokerages.
Annual net profit is expected to be affected mainly by
1.17 billion zlotys booked in the fourth quarter for legal costs
related to mortgage loans in Swiss francs, analysts said.
