WARSAW, Jan 16 (Reuters) - The following are news

INTEREST RATES
The central bank is set to announce its decision on interest
rates. Economists expect them to remain unchanged, with the main
rate at 5.75%.
CORE INFLATION
The central bank will release core inflation data for
December. Analysts expect that it amounted to 4.2%.
EUROPEAN UNION
The European Union should increase economic pressure on
Russia and isolate it politically in various organizations, said
Kaja Kallas, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs
and Security Policy, as quoted by Rzeczpospolita daily.
EBRD
In 2024, the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development invested a record 1.4 billion euro in Poland, up
from 1.3 billion euro the previous year, Puls Biznesu daily
reported.
CHIP EXPORT
According to experts, the US decision to limit chip exports
to Poland will not shake up the Polish AI market, because the
limits set far exceed the capabilities of Polish companies,
universities and government plans, Rzeczpospolita daily
reported.
