Greece's PPC's annual adjusted EBITDA rises 13% as renewables expand

March 19 (Reuters) - Greece's biggest power utility Public Power Corporation (PPC) DEHr.AT said on Thursday that it met its 2025 targets, lifting adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) to 2.04 billion euros ($2.30 billion) from 1.81 billion in 2024, as the group accelerated its renewable energy transition.

Full-year revenue rose 8% year-on-year to 9.70 billion euros, while adjusted net profit after minorities stood at 448 million, up from 365 million a year earlier

PPC said it invested 2.8 billion euros during the year, with 87% funnelled into renewable energy sources (RES), flexible generation and distribution upgrades

Installed RES capacity reached 7.2 gigawatts (GW) at year-end, up from 5.5 GW in 2024, accounting for 58% of total capacity, it added

Renewables produced 6.9 terawatt-hours (TWh), or 33% of PPC's total output in 2025, up 12% year-on-year, driven by new wind and solar additions

Lignite generation fell 16% from 2024 to 2.7 TWh, or 13% of output, with PPC reiterating plans to fully phase out lignite by end-2026

The group will propose a dividend of 0.60 euros per share, up 50% from 2024

PPC reiterated its 2026 outlook, seeing adjusted EBITDA of 2.4 billion euros, adjusted net profit post minorities of 700 million and dividend of 0.80 euros per share
